Currency Notes

Written by Webmaster on . Posted in News and media

The Bank of England new £5 note containing animal product has sparked furor and total dismay in Hindus and vegan/vegetarian community. It is surprising to note that even the Bank of England officials were unaware of this fact until recently. The Hindu Council UK has been campaigning against the use of animal products in the currency notes. We hope that the Bank of England will take necessary measures so that the future requirements specification for currency notes will forbid the use of animal product.
